Welcome to our refurbished Fox Archers Website. My first task at the request of our chairman, was to include the full size image of the location that the club shoots at throughout the summer. He felt that since it was such a great shot, that it would be nice for you to see the full size picture, which highlights, what a great place it is.

 

The 1st Tony Bates Open Junior Tournament

Our Club Tournaments Officer, and Club Secretary, were discussing 2010's Tournament season, and realised that in Kent there are absolutely no events for Juniors to compete against each other. Yes! there are competitions where Juniors compete in amongst the adults, but all age groups and disciplines, seem to chase the same set of medals! There are competitions for the more advanced and competent junior archers, i.e. The Nationals and County Tournaments, but what about everyone else?

So The 1st Tony Bates Open Junior Tournament idea was born.

A Tournament, that all Juniors could take part in, with all age groups and disciplines catered for, with everyone shooting to their age group, and medals and trophies awarded accordingly. The idea was put before the Committee, and Tony was approached by Graham, (our Treasurer and Lynn, our Secretary) who thought it was a brilliant idea. Hopefully Tony will be able to attend himself and be our Lord Paramount.

We are obviously going to need a lot of help from our club members - i.e.  Target Captains for scoring, Putting out the equipment, Teas and Coffees etc etc  - and we are not above accepting help from other clubs, in fact it would be appreciated.
